My wonderful family is a television film series, which ran from 2008 to 2010 on the German TV station ZDF. In Austria, the series is broadcast by ORF 2.

About the film series

In the series, which takes place in Berlin, are the divorced Hanna Sander ( Tanja Wedhorn ), is the mother of 13 -year-old Lilly ( Alicia of Rittenberg ) and has taken over as former world rowing champion the youth training in their club, and Jan Kastner ( Patrik Fichte ), father of eight -year-old Tim (Paul Zerbst ), in the foreground.

Jan is a successful owner of a coffee roasting and by the fatal accident of his wife a single father.

When a car accident Hanna and Jan know. After several meetings, the two fall in love with each other, which is initially not accepted by the pubescent Lilly. After several fights and a common Baltic Sea holiday, the four find, however, more and more to each other, Hanna and Lilly draw Jan and Tim.
