The Amy dispute

Melinda Culea had the A-Team likely to leave because of a dispute about the character of Amy, who was going on between her and George Peppard as well as the producers. Melinda Culea was unhappy with the importance of their role. Still in the pilot episode, it seemed as if to be a full member of the team Amy. For Culea this was an extraordinary opportunity ( for the 80s ), a female hero on the side of some Action Roughnecks like George Peppard and Mr. T to play. Over the episodes, the role of Amy, however, was greatly reduced, was still hardly integrated into the plot and served only decoration. The producers, however, are said to have complained that Culea was too " tomboyish ".
