Melinda Mercado

Melinda Mercado (born 19 March 1990 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma) is an American football player who was most recently in the 2013 season with the Boston Breakers in the National Women's Soccer League under contract.

Career

Association

Early 2012, Mercado was drafted by the WPS Boston Breakers participants, the league was disbanded but immediately before start of the season. Mercado therefore joined for one year the crew of the Oklahoma Alliance in the WPSL.

In February 2013 Mercado was obliged as a so-called free agent by the franchise of the Western New York Flash, but already passed on a few days after season start and still no compulsory bet franchise to newly formed NWSL the Breakers. Your league debut there on 11 May 2013 in a draw against Washington Spirit, which at the same time remained Mercados single season use.

National

Mercado played in 2009 for the U.S. U-20 national team.
