Men in Black (1934 film)

Men in Black is an American short film from 1934. The premiere took place in the U.S. on 28 September 1934. The film also appeared in Brazil ("As Coisas estao Pretas " ) and Mexico ( " Hombres de negro" ). The film was produced by Jules White in Columbia Pictures Corporation. The film appeared in a series of short films of the comedian group, The Three Stooges. It was founded in 1935 for the Oscar in the category " Best Short Film - Comedy " nomination.

Action

The film depicts three young doctors who have passed their exams only because they were written too long at the university. They begin their first job in a hospital. They commit all sorts of gaffes and mishaps that are shown slapstick.

Background

Men in Black is a parody is to the book published in the same year drama Men in White with Clark Gable, in which it is about a selfless and self-sacrificing doctor.

  • The short films Punch Drunks and Men in Black helped the Three Stooges to their breakthrough and subsequent success.
  • The Loudspeaker Paging " Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard " is reminiscent of a corresponding scene in the film in numerous other films and pieces of music in a similar form. According to Gene Simmons of the song Calling Dr. Love was also inspired on the album Rock and Roll Over by this announcement.
