From there, the river leads first few kilometers to the east, then north, where it flows around the districts of Sovicille, Brenna and Orgia. Here the river turns south, where he happened to San Lorenzo a Merse, a district of Monticiano and the Strada Statale 223 di Paganico underflows. A few meters after it passes the 1368 built and 1827 significantly enlarged bridge Ponte a Macereto (also called Ponte a Maciareto ), which is to be regarded only as a bridge ruins today.
