Město Touškov

Město Touškov ( German Tuschkau City) is a city in the Czech Republic. It is located 10 kilometers north-west of Pilsen at the Mies and belongs to Okres Plzeň- sever.

Geography

The city is located on the western edge of Pilsen basin on the left bank of Mies. By Město Touškov leads the state road 180 from Kozolupy to Europe Road 49 near Nová Hospoda. Northeast of the city is the castle ruins Komberk.

Neighboring towns are Čeminy in the north, and Kusti Komberk in the northeast, Dolni Vlkýš and Malesice in the east, and Křimice Vochov to the southeast, and Kozolupy Bdeněves in the south, Dobronice in the West, as well as Újezd ​​nade Mží in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Tuschkau as possession of the monastery Kladruby from the year 1115 has proved to be retrospective falsification of the monastery. The village was built on the old trade route from Prague to Nuremberg and acquired by Kladrubers Abt Rainer until 1243 by a knight Dřizislav.

1543 site by Ferdinand I became a town.
