Mette Frederiksen

Mette Frederiksen ( born November 19, 1977 in Aalborg ) is a Danish politician and the Socialdemokraterne since 3 October 2011 Work Minister in the government of Prime Minister Helle Thorning- Schmidt.

Life

The daughter of a typographer and a teacher began after visiting the Byplanvejen Skole and graduating from high school Aalborghus a degree in management and social sciences at Aalborg Universitetscenter. While still a student, she applied in 2000 to a parliamentary candidate in the constituency Ballerup, but was unsuccessful. Between 2000 and 2001 she was a youth counselor at Landsorganisationen i Danmark (LO ), the Confederation of Trade Unions.

In the general election in 2001, she was elected in the constituency Københavns Amtskreds the Folketing. In 2002 she was awarded the Nina Bang - price. During her Parliament membership 2001 to 2005 she was in her party for Culture, Media and Gender Equality and 2005 of Social Affairs and member of the Social Committee. 2005 Mette Frederiksen was also Vice Chairman of the Group of Socialdemokraterne in the Folketing. At the same time, she completed her studies in 2007 at Aalborg University with a Bachelor.

Since the general election in 2007, a candidate in the constituency Københavns Omegns Stork Reds. In addition, she completed a post-graduate degree in African Studies at the University of Copenhagen and finished this in 2009 with a master. In May 2010, she fell into the public criticism when it was revealed that she had her daughter logged on to a private school rather than a public school.

On 3 October 2011 she was appointed by Prime Minister Helle Thorning -Schmidt to Secretary of Labor.
