Michael Barrymore

Michael Ciaran Parker ( stage name Michael Barrymore ) ( born May 4, 1952 in London ) is a British television presenter, actor and comedian.

Life

After school Barrymore worked in London in various West End theater shows. There he met the dancer 1974 Cheryl St Claire, whom he married in 1976. 1979 won Barrymore in the British television show New Faces. With this victory in this talent show he was popular in the following years on British television. Barrymore was often represented in the 1980s in the British television show Blankety Blank as well as can be seen in the British television show The Generation Game by Larry Grayson. As a result of his television appearances Barrymore got his own television show, The Michael Barrymore Show. In the UK television ITV Barrymore rose to a television show host various entertainment shows on: including Strike It Lucky, the talent show My Kind of People, and the game shows My Kind of Music and Kids Say the Funniest Things.

1995 at the peak of his professional career as a television presenter Barrymore had his coming out. The marriage of Barrymore with Cheryl St Claire was divorced in 1997. Barrymore's life companion since 1997 is Shaun Davis, with whom he moved to New Zealand in 2003.

2005 Barrymore starred in the British television program Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 4 television.
