Michael Cashmore

Michael Cashmore is a musician and composer from the UK, he lives and works in Berlin.

Life and work

He published under the name of Nature and Organisation since 2006 and grown under his real name music. Cashmore is equally since the late 1980s, a relatively permanent member of the loose formation Current 93 He has worked with numerous well-known musicians, especially the neo-folk genres together, including Rose McDowall, Douglas Pearce, Steven Stapleton and David Tibet. Cashmore composed the majority of the pieces from Current 93 and is the most important guitarist since the departure of Douglas Pearce in the early 1990s.

After several years in which he worked with Current 93, Cashmore published in May 2006, his first solo album Sleep England.

In the spring of 2007 appeared The Snow Abides, a mini album, which includes songs with vocals by Antony, the frontman of Antony and the Johnsons. The texts of the pieces all come from David Tibet, but it is not heard on the album.

2008 Cashmore published together with Marc Almond ( Soft Cell ) CD Gabriel & The Lunatic Lover with two set to music poems of the poet Earl Eric Stenbock.
