Michael Deinlein

Michael of Deinlein ( born October 26, 1800 Hetzles in Upper Franconia, † January 4, 1875 in Bamberg) was from 1858 to 1875 Roman Catholic Archbishop of Bamberg.

Life

Michael of Deinlein studied after graduating from theology and philosophy in Bamberg. On November 18, 1824 he was ordained priest. This was followed by, among others, an activity as Domkaplan and helping out as a pastor from 1827 to 1830 in Coburg. He then rain and professor of moral theology at the Lyceum Bamberger, 1841 he was canon and vicar general in 1844.

In 1853 he was called by Pope Pius IX. appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Bamberg and titular bishop of Adramyttium.
