Michael Joseph Begley

Michael Joseph Begley ( born March 12, 1909 in Mattineague, Massachusetts, USA; † 9 February 2002) was Bishop of Charlotte.

Life

Michael Joseph Begley received on 26 March 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On November 30, 1971 Pope Paul VI appointed him. Bishop of Charlotte. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Luigi Raimondi, donated to him on 12 January 1972, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Raleigh, Vincent Stanislaus Waters, and the Auxiliary Bishop of Raleigh, George Edward Lynch.

May 29, 1984 Pope John Paul II accepted the argument put forward by Michael Joseph Begley resignation for reasons of age.
