Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte
The Diocese of Charlotte (Latin: Dioecesis Carolinana ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
History
The Diocese of Charlotte was born on November 12, 1971 by Pope Paul VI. built out of territory of the Diocese of Raleigh and the Archdiocese of Atlanta, is a suffragan. In 1977 the territory of the dissolved Territorial Abbey Belmont- Mary Help of Christians was annexed to the bishopric of Charlotte.
