Michael Joseph Bransfield

Michael Joseph Bransfield ( born September 8, 1943 in Philadelphia, United States) is Bishop of Wheeling - Charleston.

Life

Michael Joseph Bransfield received on May 15, 1971 by the Archbishop of Philadelphia, John Joseph Cardinal Krol, the sacrament of ordination to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

On 9 December 2004, Pope John Paul II appointed Bishop of Wheeling - Charleston. The Archbishop of Baltimore, Cardinal William Henry Keeler, donated to him on 22 February 2005, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Washington, Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick and Bishop Emeritus of Wheeling - Charleston, Bernard W. Schmitt.
