Michael Lamey

Michael Lamey ( born November 29, 1979 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch footballer of Nigerian descent.

Sports career

Lamey began his football career in the famous Ajax- school and moved in 2001 from the Ajax Amsterdam youth to RKC Waalwijk. After only one year in Waalwijk PSV Eindhoven on the young right-back was attentive and engaged him in the 2002 season for just under 4.3 million euros. After a rather disappointing year Michael Lamey was loaned to FC Utrecht.

As Lamey 2004 returned, he could not claim right at PSV Eindhoven and moved in 2007 to the newly promoted Bundesliga MSV Duisburg. There he was a regular in the defense and came to 25 Bundesliga appearances, but had to finish the season with the team in the second league dismount. For the 2008/09 season Lamey joined Arminia Bielefeld, where he was awarded a contract for the first and second Bundesliga.

In August 2010 Lamey joined Leicester City in the Football League Championship in England. After an unsuccessful year he moved in July 2011 to Wisła Kraków. At the end of the season his contract was not renewed, so it was initially a few months without a club.

In October 2012, he then returned to the Netherlands and signed a three-year contract by the end of June 2015 at his former club RKC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie.
