Michael Marshall Smith

Michael Marshall Smith ( May 3, 1965 in Knutsford, Cheshire ) is an English novelist and screenwriter.

As a young child he moved with his parents first to Illinois, then to Florida at the age of 7 years to South Africa, later to Australia to finally return to England. At Cambridge University he studied philosophy and politics. Prior to having the second creator conquered the bestseller lists in England, he won for his innovative first novel, Only Forward the Phillip K. Dick and August Derleth Award. He lives with his wife in London.
