Michael McKenna (bishop)

Michael Joseph McKenna ( born December 8, 1951 in Bairnsdale ) is Bishop of Bathurst.

Life

The Bishop of Ballarat, Ronald Austin Mulkearns, ordained him priest on 18 August 1972. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 15 April 2009 to the Bishop of Bathurst.

The Archbishop of Sydney, George Cardinal Pell, gave him on 26 June of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Patrick Dougherty, Bishop Emeritus of Bathurst, and Jeremiah Joseph Coffey, Bishop Emeritus of Sale.
