Michael Nikolay

Michael Nikolay ( born December 13, 1956 in Berlin ) is a former German gymnast. His home club was the SC Dynamo Berlin.

He won at the Summer Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976 on pommel horse and with the crew of the German Democratic Republic (GDR ) per a bronze medal. Four years later at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, he won with the East German team the silver medal in the all around and was in the individual competition on pommel horse again third. In the individual all-around, he finished seventh in 1976 and 1980 to sixth place in Moscow he missed beyond fourth place on bars another individual medal just barely.
