Michael Ritchie (film director)

Michael Ritchie ( born November 28, 1938 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, † April 16, 2001 in New York City ) was an American film director.

Life and work

Before and during his career in the film business, he studied at Harvard University and received his degree there in 1960. His debut as a director, he gave in 1952 as a television director. So he directed an episode of Solo for Oncel.

Michael Ritchie also worked as a screenwriter, was born in 1993 after one of his screenplays, the comedy film Cool Runnings.

He was married and the father of five children.
