Michael Uslan

Michael E. Uslan ( born June 2, 1951 in Cedar Grove, New Jersey) is an American film producer, and comic book writer, and Professor of "Comic Book Folklore " at the University of Indiana.

Life and work

Uslan studied law at the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington. Later, after first attempts had failed to grasp as a screenwriter foot, he became a lecturer at his alma mater, where he attracted the attention of various comic publishers on by a lecture on comics history.

As a result, Uslan, among other things together with Ernie Chua wrote a few comic stories for the publisher DC Comics, for which he wrote to the traditional series Detective Comics, as well as Green Lantern / Green Arrow among others. His most famous figurative creation of this period was the modern Pirate and Batman adversary Captain Stingaree ( "Captain Stingray ").

In the late 1970s succeeded Uslan to establish itself as production attorney of films like Apocalypse Now, Rocky II and Raging Bull in the film industry.
