Miguel Hidalgo, D.F.

The Delegación Miguel Hidalgo, named after the founder of the Mexican War of Independence, is one of 16 districts ( delegaciones ) of the Mexican capital Mexico City.

Miguel Hidalgo is located west of the District Cuauhtémoc, in which is the historic center of Mexico City. The boulevard of Paseo de la Reforma passes through both delegaciones and goes at Bosque de Chapultepec in a westerly direction in the Delegación Miguel Hidalgo on the part of the colonias Chapultepec, Lomas de Chapultepec and Polanco of the most expensive residential districts of the Mexican capital. In contrast to these Nobel districts in the east of the district Tacubaya heard the other hand, in the west of the district today one of the poorest neighborhoods of the Mexican capital.
