Miguel Poiares Maduro

Luís Miguel Poiares Pessoa Maduro ( born January 3, 1967 in Coimbra ) is a Portuguese lawyer and politician.

Maduro was from 2003 to 2009, Advocate General at the European Court. Later he was director of the program for Global Governance and Professor of Law at the European University Institute in Florence. In 2011, he was adviser to the presidential candidate Aníbal Cavaco Silva. Since April 13, 2013 he has been Deputy Prime Minister ( Ministro Adjunto ) and Minister for Regional Development in the Cabinet Passos Coelho.
