Miguel Sabah Rodríguez ( born November 14, 1979 in Cancún) is a Mexican footballer who currently plays for Monarcas Morelia.
Career
Association
Sabah behann his career at Mexican club Deportivo Guadalajara and made his debut on 12 August 2000, the third season game against Cruz Azul. After that, he only came back in the 2002 Verano - season, where he played 16 games and scored three goals.
In 2006, he signed with league rivals CD Cruz Azul and completed in the Apertura 2006 season, his best season to date with 10 goals in 18 games. But in the 2007 Apertura season, he could still be increased and scored 11 goals in 17 games. In the 2008 Apertura and Clausura season, he reached with his club twice the finals, which were but lost both times against Santos Laguna and Deportivo Toluca.
On December 28, 2008 it was announced that Sabah will change next season to Monarcas Morelia and was officially presented on 31 December. He scored his first goals January 31, 2009 against Club América. In 2010, he joined with his club in the Super League and won that on September 1 with a 2-1 victory against New England Revolution. He was also nominated four goals top scorer.
Since January 2013 he is back at Deportivo Guadalajara under contract.
National
Sabah was appointed on May 15, 2009 by coach Javier Aguirre in the Mexican national football team and played in the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 against El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago. However, due to a injury he was unable to attend the World Cup.
He also played at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2009 and reached there on July 9, his first international goal against Panama, which was the 500th gates of the CONCACAF Gold Cup history at the same time. At the end of the tournament, he was named by four goals to scorer.
