Mika Ozawa

Mika Ozawa (Japanese小泽 美 夏, Ozawa Mika, born August 9, 1985 in Shiojiri ) is a former Japanese Shorttrackerin.

She denied her first international title fights at the Junior World Championship 2001 in Warsaw, where they each could reach the semi-finals over 1000 m and 1500 m. In December 2001, she made her debut in Amsterdam in the World Cup, but this difference over 500 m in advance of. In the 2002 World Cup team in Milwaukee she first participated in the adult area at a championship. Regular international missions got Ozawa in the 2001/ 02 season. In the World Cup they reached a total of two times above 1500 m the semi-finals, with the season they finished fourth once.

Ozawa won at the Junior World Championship 2003 in Budapest with the relay bronze medal and thus their first international medal. They also took part in the 2003 World Cup in Warsaw and reached its best result over 1500 m the semi-finals. In the 2003 /04 season Ozawa participated in three World Cups, but was detected only once to reach a semi-final in a single race. At the World Championships in Gothenburg she repeated the semi-finals over 1500 m. Successful was the season 2004/05. Ozawa won three times in the World Cup podium in the relay. Over 1500 m, she moved first time in a single race in a final and was in the discipline Appreciation Tenth. At the Junior World Championships in Belgrade, she won a bronze medal over 1000m again. In the World Team Championships in Chuncheon, it reached their teammates the final, where they finished fourth. In addition, Ozawa was able to move in the relay at the World Championships in Beijing to the final, where this was, however, disqualified. In the season 2005 /06, Ozawa could not improve in the World Cup in a single race. With the season but it reached a stage rank once. She qualified for the Olympic Games in Turin. There, she reached over 1000 m the semi-finals, but with the season they finished third in the B-final only the last place.

In the 2006/07 season Ozawa could not convince in a single race. With the season but they won a third place. Even with the season high points they failed to reach finals. Successful was the following season 2007/08. Ozawa drew over 1500 m three times into final, missed her first podium finish in a single race, however, scarce. In the discipline rating, she took over 1500 m eighth. Also in the 2008/ 09 season, Ozawa appeared in three finals in the World Cup over 1500 m. Over this distance she repeated eighth place in the discipline standings. In its latest 2009/10 season in the World Cup were four semi-finals over 1500 m Ozawa best results. In the World Team Championships in Bormio, she reached the final, where they narrowly missed out on a medal in fourth. She denied her second Olympic Games in Vancouver. Over 1000 m, she moved into the quarter- finals, more than 1500 m, it was disqualified in the flow and with the season they finished third in the B-final again only the last place.

Ozawa has studied at the University of Hannan. They also launched for the sports team of the University.
