Mike Bibby

Michael " Mike" Bibby ( born May 13, 1978 in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey ) is an American professional basketball player who played for the New York Knicks in the NBA. He is 185 cm tall, 86 kg and plays on the position of the point guards.

Career

As an amateur player at the University of Arizona Bibby helped the Wildcats to the 1997 NCAA championship, scoring 20 points in the decider against the University of Kentucky. When NBA Draft 1998, he was selected as the second from the Vancouver Grizzlies. There, he scored in the first season average of 13.2 points, 6.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game and All- Rookie First Team was called to the NBA. Over the next two seasons, he has improved and scored 14.5 and 15.9 points per game. He also distributed with 8.4 assists per game a Karrierebestwert. On 27 June 2001, he and Brent Price was replaced by Jason Williams and Nick Anderson of the Sacramento Kings.

During the 2001/ 02 season, Bibby led the Sacramento Kings to the Western Conference Finals, where the team finally the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers defeated. Because of injuries Bibby could only compete in 55 games in the season 2002/ 03, yet achieved a respectable average of 15.9 points points per game. The Kings Bibby had his best time on the side of Chris Webber and Predrag Stojakovic. In 2002 they reached the Western Conference finals, where they eliminated almost against the Los Angeles Lakers. Bibby was about seven years in Sacramento an important scorer. His best year for the Kings Bibby had in the 2005-06 season when he scored 21.1 points per game.

On February 16, 2008 Bibby moved to the Atlanta Hawks. Also in Atlanta Bibby was set as a regular starter, but his performance took over the years from. There he played until February 2011.

On 24 February 2011 Bibby was transferred along with Hilton Armstrong in exchange for Kirk Hinrich, Maurice Evans, Jordan Crawford and a first round pick to the Washington Wizards. His dortig still valid contract he dissolved in agreement with the Wizards and renounced to 6.1 million U.S. dollars to immediately sign with the Miami Heat. With the Heat, he reached the 2011 NBA Finals, where they lost but the Dallas Mavericks.

After the season he signed a new contract with the Knicks. For this, he completed 39 games and scored 2.6 points and 2.1 assists per game.

2012 ended his career Mike Bibby. During his career, Bibby scored in 1001 games, 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

Private

The U.S. soccer player Robbie Findley is a cousin of Bibby. His father Henry Bibby played 1972-1981 also in the NBA.
