Mike Duncan

Robert M. "Mike" Duncan ( born 1951 in Oneida, Tennessee) is an American politician. He was from 2007 to 2009 Chairman of the Republican National Committee, the party organization of the Republicans.

Duncan was 1974 graduate of the University of Kentucky. He then worked as president of a state university, a private college, various business groups and non-profit organizations. As of July 2002 Duncan was chief legal counsel ( General Counsel ) of the Republican National Committee, on 19 January 2007 he was its chairman. Two years later, he ran again for the office, but dropped out after the third ballot out. His successor Michael Steele was elected.

Mike Duncan is married and has a son.
