Mike Frantz ( born October 14, 1986 in Saarbrücken ) is a German football player.

Youth

Frantz grew up in the district of Saarbrücken Folsterhöhe and learned the trade of painter and refinisher He played in the youth for the DJK Folsterhöhe, AFC Saarbrücken, Saarbrücken 1 FC and Borussia Neunkirchen. After the B- youth, he was at the 1 FC Saarbrücken moved to the U19 Borussia Neunkirchen and was appointed there in early 2005 in the first team.

Career

Frantz began his career at Borussia Neunkirchen and later moved to 1 FC Saarbrücken, who failed to qualify for the Regional League for the 2008/ 09 season. The striker scored in the 2007/ 08 season, a total of twelve goals in 27 games, including six goals in eight games (with three assists ) before an injury that had failed him for the rest of the season. For the 2008/09 season Frantz moved on over 100,000 euros for 1 FC Nuremberg.

His debut with the club was unhappy: During the preseason, the players moved in just eleven days, four different injuries, most recently a plan of Syndesmosebands. He became the club then for months not available and disputed with coming off the bench on 7 November 2008 in a 0-0 draw at home against FSV Frankfurt his first professional game. His first Profitor followed in his fifth game on December 8 against Hansa Rostock. By the end of the season he came to a total of 16 appearances. In the two following relegation matches, by the Nuremberg were promoted to the 1st Bundesliga, he was substituted in each case.

On the first day of the 2009/10 season he made his Erstligadebüt against FC Schalke 04 on 27 March 2010, a 2:4 defeat in Bremen, he scored his first goal in the top division. Especially in the second half of the season he had a firm place in the root formation and came on 26 missions including the two play-offs, where it was used mainly as an attacking midfielder. Also, during the entire first half of the 2010/11 season Frantz was set, but after a lengthy toe injury he fell for the complete rear round.
