Mike Gabriel

Michael " Mike" Gabriel ( born November 5, 1954 in Long Beach, California) is an American animator and film director.

Life

Gabriel studied animation at CalArts, and came in 1979 to Disney animation, where he worked as an assistant on the film Fox and the Hound. As an animator, he was involved in 1982 at Walt Disney's Fun with Mr. Future, followed later Disney animated films such as Taran and the Magic Cauldron (1985 ), Basil, The Great Mouse Detective (1986) and Oliver & Company (1988). With Hendel Butoy Gabriel led when published in 1990, Bernard and the Beast debut as a director. His last film to date was the animated short film Lorenzo, an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Short Film was awarded to Gabriel in 2005.
