Mike Hill (film editor)

Michael " Mike" Hill ( born 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American editor.

Life

Prior to his career in the film business, he studied at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He received his degree in criminal justice, he made in 1972. Subsequently, he worked as a guard at a prison in California.

His debut as an editor he gave in 1981 a television series Cagney & Lacey to film. Since the film Night Shift - The morgue flips completely out of the year 1982, he is working with his colleagues Daniel P. Hanley as an editor for director Ron Howard. Only rarely work the two together with other directors, an exception was about Pet Sematary. In 1996 she was awarded the Oscar for the film Apollo 13.
