Mikhail Gluzsky

Mikhail Andreyevich Glusski (Russian: Михаил Андреевич Глузский; born November 21, 1918 in Kiev, Ukraine, † June 15, 2001 in Moscow) was a Ukrainian actor, People's Artist of the USSR and winner of the Nika Film Awards.

Life

Origin and family

His father, Andrei Mikhailovich Gmyrjow, comes from a family of farmers, however, was a poet and journalist. Middle of 1917 he moved from the former Petrograd ( now St Petersburg) to Kiev, where he erected a house. Glusskis mother's name was Yefrosinya Kondratewna Glusskina. The Spouse Ekaterina Pavlovna Petegusowa was a graduate and head of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts and senior researcher at the National Institute for Art Research ( ehm. Institute for Art History ). They have two children - Andrey and Maria - and grandson Alexander, Michael and Maria, Xenia, Elisabeta.

Career

Mikhail Glusski finished acting school in 1940 in the studios of "Mosfilm ". He then served in the Soviet Army and took part in the Second World War. He starred in about one hundred movies, such as "Girl with a character " ( Девушка с характером ) or "Silent Don " ( Тихий Дон ). He is also actively worked in radio and television. With his voice he dubbed in foreign films actors such as Louis de Funès and Eduardo De Filippo. From 1946 to 1995 Gluski was film and theater actor. Since 1994 he gave performances in the theater "School of modern play" ( Школа современной пьесы ).

Gluski was secretary of the " Union of cinematographers of the USSR", the Commission of the veterans of this alliance and headed "Moscow Municipal Commission of cultural sponsorship of the armed forces of the USSR". His last public work was the leadership of the Commission of the cinema veterans.

He was a professor at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. From 1987 to 1998 he managed two courses of the acting department of the Institute and completed two courses.
