Mikito Takayasu

Takayasu Mikito (Japanese高 安 右 人; * July 1859 or 1860 or September 4, 1860 ( traditionally Man'en 1.7.19 ) in the district of Ogi, Hizen Province (now Saga Prefecture ), † November 20, 1938 ) was a Japanese ophthalmologist. Life

Takayasu closed in 1887 his medical studies at the University of Tokyo. In 1888 he became a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the State Fourth Higher Secondary School in Kanazawa and 1894 Head of the associated hospital of the reorganized Medical Faculty of the Fourth state high school. From 1899 to 1901, Takayasu held up in Germany and was subsequently professor of ophthalmology at the Medical Technical School Kanazawa, Kanazawa Medical University in 1923. Takayasu in 1923 became dean of the college. The following year he retired from the university and practiced in private practice. In 1938, he succumbed to cancer.
