Miklós Sárkány

Miklós Sárkány ( born August 15, 1908 in Budapest, † December 20, 1998 in Vienna) was a Hungarian water polo player.

At the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Sárkány was playing, used in the Hungarian water polo national team only in preliminary round game against Japan. Despite this, the team took after a 6-2 victory against Germany Olympic victory, so he conferred with his team-mates György Bródy, József Vértesy, Olivér Halassy, Márton Homonnay, Sándor Ivády, István Barta, Alajos Keseru, János Németh and Ferenc Keseru the gold medal got.

Sárkány was four years later, re-used at the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, this time in three of the group matches, the Hungarians could always win. As the team which qualified for the final round and was after a win and a draw Olympic champion, Sárkány was awarded his second gold medal.

He was buried on the fire hall Simmering cemetery in Vienna.
