Millennium Tower (Frankfurt)

The Millennium Tower ( English for " Millennium Tower ") is a preliminary study and preliminary design for the construction of an office tower in Frankfurt am Main.

The client was EIM (railway property management; Vivico today ), and the concept was created in the late 1990s by Albert Speer & Partner as a component of high-rise master plan of the city of Frankfurt in 1998. Accordingly, the height of the building can be up to 369 meters with over 200,000 square feet of space on 97 floors. For the tower is 2001 construction law since May.

With the skyscrapers fair tower, Tower 185, Castor and Pollux and the planned high-rise buildings at the Skyline Plaza shopping center is a new Hochhauspulk created here.

End of 2000, announced the New York real estate tycoon Donald Trump, that he plans to build the Millennium Tower as the tallest residential tower in the world. During a conversation with Mayor of Frankfurt Petra Roth he proposed to begin construction in 2002 or 2003. Later Trump no longer pursuing the project (like many others worldwide ).

On the real estate Cityscape exhibition in Dubai, the project was presented as building mass model in October 2007. The height should not exceed 350 meters, the gross floor area specified with 215,000 m². The use of the building is to be 70 % office and 30 % residential component, and it could be marketed as European headquarters for global companies. Due to the economic crisis in 2008 and a high oversupply of office space, it is completely unclear whether the building is still being realized.
