Minatitlán is a municipality in the Mexican state of Colima. The municipality covers an area of ​​416.1 km ² and had the Census 2010 8,174 inhabitants. Administrative seat and largest town of the Municipalities is the same Minatitlán.

Of economic importance are mainly from agriculture and iron mining.

The municipality cross to the Municipalities of Colima, Villa de Alvarez, Manzanillo and Coquimatlán as well as to the state of Jalisco.
