Minodora Cliveti

Minodora Cliveti ( born October 24, 1955 in Adjud ) is a Romanian politician of the Social Democrat Partidul.

Cliveti acquired in 1978 the Diploma of the Faculty of Law at the University of Alexandru Ioan Cuza in Iaşi. This was followed by internships at Columbia University in New York City, the University of Birmingham and at the International Institute of Human Rights in Strasbourg and doctoral studies at the Legal Research Institute of the Romanian Academy of Sciences. Since 1978 she is a member of the Bar Association in Bacǎu.

Clivati ​​was deputy chairman of the organization in Bacǎu, deputy chairman of the Women's Association, a member of the National Council and a member of the Arbitration Commission in the PSD. From 2000 to 2008 she was a member of the Romanian Parliament. During this time she also was a member of the Romanian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. On 18 May 2012, she took over from the retiring Rovana Plumb the mandate in the European Parliament.
