Mintiu Gherlii

Mintiu Gherlii ( German Deutschendorf, Hungarian Szamosújvárnémeti ) is a municipality in the district of Cluj in Transylvania, Romania.

The place is also known under the outdated names Romanian Mintiul Gherlei and Nimtiu Gherlii the Hungarian Németi and the German name German -Neudorf.

Population

According to the 2002 census, living on the territory of the municipality 3,860 inhabitants, of whom 95.5% were Romanians, Hungarians 1% and 3.4% were Roma.
