Minuscule 60

Minuscule 60 (in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 1321 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 291 parchment leaves ( 20.5 x 14.5 cm). The manuscript is dated by its colophon to the year 1297. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The Code contains the text of the four Gospels. It was written one column each with 23 rows. It contains the Epistula ad Carpianum, Eusebischen tables τιτλοι, κεφαλαια, images, signatures and Ammonianische sections, but lacking the Eusebische canon. It contains some of Aretha's Scholia.

The manuscript ( folios 4-294 ) belongs to the same manuscript as 2821 ( folios 295-316 ).

The Greek text of Codex represents the Byzantine text-type and the category V is assigned.

History

The manuscript belonged to John Moore, Bishop of Ely, whose books were donated at his death in 1714 of King George I of the Cambridge University. The Code is currently in the University Library Cambridge ( Dd 9.69, fol. 4-294 ) in Cambridge.
