Minuscule 66

Minuscule 66 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 519 ( von Soden ), is a Greek of the New Testament Minuskelhandschrift to 298 sheets of paper ( 21.4 x 14.6 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 14th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The Code contains the text of the four Gospels. It was written one column with 21 rows. It contains Epistula ad Carpianum, lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections Eusebischen canon, Synaxarium, Menologion, images, Liturgical read pieces, and αναγνωσεις.

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.

History

The manuscript once belonged to Thomas Gale ( 1636-1702 ). The Code has been studied by John Mill.

The Code is currently in Trinity College (O. VIII 3) in Cambridge.
