Minuscule 70
Minuscule 70 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 521 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 186 parchment leaves ( 28.5 × 17.7 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 15th century. The manuscript is complete.
Description
The Code contains the text of the four Gospels. He has written one column each with 23 rows. It contains κεφαλαια Latin, Greek and κεφαλαια τιτλοι.
The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V. It belonged to the family of texts Kx.
History
The manuscript was written in Paris in 1491-1494 for Guillaume Budé. The Code has been studied by John Mill. Gregory likened in 1883.
The Code is currently in the Cambridge University Library ( ll. 2.13) in Cambridge.
