Minuscule 72

Minuscule 72 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 110 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 268 parchment leaves ( 25.2 × 20 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 11th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The Code contains the text of the four Gospels. He has written one column with 22-24 rows and contains Epistula ad Carpianum, lists of κεφαλαια, images, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, and τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections (Matthew 360, Mark 240, Luke 342, John 232), the Eusebischen canon signatures and στιχοι ( Gospel of Mark ).

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category V. He belonged to the family of texts family Π.

History

The manuscript was written in Syria or Palestine.

The Code has been studied by John Mill, Johann Jakob Wettstein and Johann Jakob Griesbach. Gregory created in 1883 a collation.

The Code can be found in the British Library ( Harley 5647 ) in London.
