Minuscule 76

Minuscule 76 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), δ 298 ( von Soden ), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 358 parchment leaves (19 x 13.5 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 14th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

The manuscript contains the text of the New Testament except the Book of Revelation. He has written one column each with 27 lines. The manuscript contains Prolegomena, lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonianische sections (Mark 234 ), ( not the Eusebischen canon ), lectionary markings, incipits, Synaxarion, Menologion and images.

The order of the books is Gospels, Acts, Catholic Epistles and Pauline Epistles. The book of Hebrews is listed as the last book of Paul.

Text

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category V. He belonged to the family of texts Kx. Lyrically, he is close to the Complutensischen polyglot.

History

Perhaps the manuscript by the editors of the Polyglot Complutensischen was used. The manuscript was examined in 1711 by John Mill. It was used by Karl age in his edition of the Greek New Testament in 1786. Caspar René Gregory likened in 1887.

The Code is currently in the Austrian National Library ( Theol. gr 300) in Vienna.
