Minuscule 9

Minuscule 9 ( in the Gregory- Aland numbering ), ε 279 ( Soden), is a Greek Minuskelhandschrift of the New Testament on 298 parchment leaves ( 23.5 cm × 17 cm). Using palaeography was dated the manuscript to the 12th century. However, it contains a colophon indicating the date 1167. It was written in one column per page, each with 20 lines.

Description

The Code contains the complete text of the four Gospels, the canon Eusebischen and Synaxarium. According to the colophon it was written as " Manuel Porphyrogennetus Regent of Constantinople Opel was the Amauri of Jerusalem and Wilhelm II ( Sicily) ".

This code was used by Robert Estienne in his Editio Regia of 1550, he referenced him as ιβ '. The Code was in private hands and was Peter Stella. He later became part of the collection of Kuster ( Kuster 's Paris 3).

The Code is currently in the Bibliothèque nationale de France ( Gr. 83) in Paris.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type.
