Mirko Boland

Mirko Boland ( born April 23, 1987 in Wesel ) is a German football player. Since January 2009 he is a midfielder for Eintracht Braunschweig.

Career

Boland played in youth at SV Rees, FC Schalke 04 and MSV Duisburg, where in 2008 he also signed his first professional contract.

For the season 2008/ 09 he moved into the professional squad of MSV Duisburg on for the 2nd Bundesliga. In December 2008, the new MSV coach Peter Neururer reduced the professional squad to some players, among whom Boland was. Between 2006 and 2008, he completed 71 games for the second team of MSV.

In early January 2009, it was resolved his contract at MSV and he could free transfer to third division side Eintracht Braunschweig change. In his league debut for Eintracht 14 February 2009 against Kickers Emden he managed the 2-1 victory.

In the season 2010/11 he became the champion with Eintracht Braunschweig promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. He then extended his contract by a further two years until 30 June 2014.

In the 2012/13 season he scored four goals and prepared six hits, but in the second half he fell into a hole and lost power briefly even his place in the starting XI. At the end of the season Braunschweig rose as the runner- up in the Bundesliga, where he made his debut on 10 August 2013 ( 1st Round ) in the 0-1 defeat at home to Werder Bremen. His first Bundesliga goal he scored on 20 September 2013 ( 6th Round ) in the 1:4 defeat in the away match against Borussia Moenchengladbach reduce the deficit to intermediate 1:2 in the 58th minute.

On March 19, 2014 Boland extended his contract with Eintracht Braunschweig until 30 June 2017.
