Miroslav Tadić (musician)

Miroslav Tadić ( born 1959 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian guitar player.

Life and work

Tadić received a classical guitar training in Yugoslavia and Italy. In 1979 he went to the USA, where he completed his training at CalArts in Los Angeles. Where he has taught since 1985.

Tadić's repertoire includes works from the baroque and classical music as well as blues, jazz and rock music. He was counted by the U.S. magazine Guitar Player of the thirty most radical and most individualistic guitarists in the world in 1997. Tadić has collaborated with musicians such as Jack Bruce, David Torn, Joachim Kühn, L. Shankar, Howard Levy, Dusan Bogdanovic, Theodosii Spassov, Kudsi Ergüner, Djivan Gasparyan, Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri, Markus Stockhausen and Maria João. He participated in projects of Terry Riley and went to the Los Angeles Opera with Placido Domingo on.

In 1986, he met Mark and Walter Quintus Nauseef, with whom he has since realized a large number of recordings and projects. In recent years, he devoted himself with the guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski and singer Vanja Lazarová the Macedonian music.
