Mirza Davud Huseynov

Mirza Dawood Bagir ogly Gusejnow (Russian Мирза Давуд Гусейнов; Azerbaijani Mirzə Davud Huseynov; * March 1894 in Baku, † March 21, 1938 ) was an Azerbaijani Soviet politician. In 1920, he was First Secretary of the Communist Party in the newly established Azerbaijan SSR, from 1930 to 1933 he bekleidetete this office in the Tajik SSR.

Life

In 1937, he was - like many communists of the first hour - fired and arrested during the Stalinist Great Terror from all offices. In 1938, he was executed in 1958 but posthumously rehabilitated.
