Misleydis González

Misleydis González ( González Herrera Misleydis; born June 19, 1978 in Bayamo ) is a Cuban shot putter.

Her first international success she had at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, where she won in 2001 and 2003.

In 2004, she finished sixth at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004, won silver at the Ibero- American Championships, finishing in seventh place at the Olympic Games in Athens.

In 2005 she was ten at the World Championships in Helsinki and won the bronze medal at the Universiade. One gold medal at the Pan American Games in 2007 was followed by an eleventh place finish at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka.

Designed with a personal indoor personal best of 18.75 m, she finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, they also came in fourth place with their personal outdoor record of 19.50 m.

Misleydis González is 1,79 m tall and weighs 75 kg and is thus a "lightweight " in their discipline.
