Mitja OraniÄ
Mitja Oranic ( born April 3, 1986 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian Nordic combined.
Oranic made his international debut in 2001 in the B- Nordic Combined World Cup. At the Junior World Championship 2003 in Sollefteå he reached with the team to 5th place, in Gundersen, he landed at number 45, in the sprint at No. 31 A year later, he managed to increase its minimal results at the Junior World Championships in Stryn. 2004 and 2005 launched Oranic even in FIS races and was able to partially achieve results in the top ten. At the Junior World Cup in 2006 in Kranj he reached the 14th Place and in the Gundersen the 30th place in the sprint. With the team he came again does not go beyond the 4th place and missed so just a medal. After ascending performances he gave on January 13, 2007 in Lago di Tesero his debut in the World Cup Nordic Combined. In Sapporo, he could only reach the top forty placings at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 at the Sprint as well as in Gundersen. Two years later at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec he could not significantly improve its performance. In the overall standings of the 2008/09 season, however, he achieved his best result to date with court 40. In the Slovenian ski jumping championships in 2009 in Kranj he reached in the team jumping to fourth place and just narrowly missed a medal. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he reached the 31st place and on the large hill the 41st place in the individual on the normal hill.
