Mnemic

Mnemic is a Danish-French thrash band. The name Mnemic is an acronym for " Mainly Neurotic Energy Modifying Instant Creation" or modified by the Greek goddess of memory, Mnemosyne. Enter Shikari describe their style as " Future Fusion Metal".

Biography

The band was founded in 1998 and abolished in 2003 with the debut album Mechanical Spin Phenomena breakthrough. In 2004, the equally successful album, The Audio Injected Soul was filed, on which there is, among others, a cover of Duran Duran 's classic The Wild Boys.

Their music is audibly influenced by bands such as Fear Factory and Meshuggah. Their songs consist style typical of complex, polyrhythmic guitar riffs, hard verses, choruses and clean phrased double bass drumming. In addition, electronic elements complete the sound.

On 12 September 2005, the singer Michael Bogballe left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Tony Jelencovich, the band knew Transport League and B -Thong heard of the band.

In early 2006, rose from Tony Jelencovich at Mnemic until the end of May 2006, a new singer was found Guillaume Bideau. Guillaume left his band Scarve for Mnemic middle of the recordings for their new album.

Mnemics third album Passenger was published on 19 January 2007.

2009, work began on a new album, entitled Sons of the system. It was released on January 15, 2010 in Europe and on January 26, 2010 in North America.

On 13 April 2011 the bassist Tomas Koefoed announced his retirement from the band.
