The winery Moët & Chandon [ ˌ mo ɛt ‿ e ʃɑdɔ ] is a 1743 founded by Claude Moët manufacturer and market leader for champagne. The company has been based since its inception in French Epernay and belongs since 1987 to the luxury group LVMH.

History

The company's history dates back to the year 1742, when Claude Moët ( 1683-1760 ) began to export wine from Champagne to Paris.
