Mohamed Flissi

Mohamed Flissi (born 13 February 1990 in Boumerdes ) is an Algerian boxer.

Career

Flissi won in 2011 in the light flyweight (-49 kg), the silver medal at the Arab Championships in Doha. In the same year he also won the silver medal in Maputo the Pan American Games. In the final he defeated the Cameroonian Thomas Essomba ( 16:8 ). At the 2011 World Championships but Flissi retired in the first fight against Essomba. 2012 started Flissi at the Olympic Games in London. Here he failed in the first round of Pongprayoon Kaew, Thailand ( 19:11 ).

2013 Flissi won with a final victory over Ferhat Pehlivan, Turkey ( 3:0), the Mediterranean Games in Mersin. In the same year, he also reached the final of the World Championships in Almaty. In this he faced the Kazakh Birschan Schaqypow, whom he defeated 3-0 judges' votes.

World Series of Boxing

In the 2012/2013 season Flissi for Algeria Desert Hawks struggled in the World Series of Boxing. He played three matches in the unfamiliar for him weight class up to 54 kg, and could only win one.
