Mohammad Nur Ahmad Etemadi

Nur Mohammad Ahmed Etemadi ( Pashtun محمد نور احمد اعتمادي; born February 22, 1921 in Kandahar, † August 10, 1979 ) was an Afghan diplomat and politician.

From 1964 to 1965 he was a member of the Constituent Assembly. In addition to the post of foreign minister, he held from November 1, 1967 to 1971, the Office of the Prime Minister. For his dismissal from these two offices and his posting as ambassador to Rome an unsatisfactory economic development and lack of support in the Loya Jirga were specified. So he was not an obstacle to the abolition of the monarchy in Afghanistan. From 1974 to 1976 he was ambassador in Moscow, after which he was again ambassador to Pakistan.

He was arrested at the Saurrevolution April 27, 1978 and executed during the reign of Nur Muhammad Taraki.
